I have been a believer and a big supporter of the GSK Brand for more than a decade now. In 2013, I started using Sensodyne toothpaste and mouthwash, but got disappointed when the fake flooded the market. Then discovered Corsodyl in 2014 and absolutely fell in love. But the problem I faced with it around 2015 is that, the market started being flooded with a diluted version of it. So, I moved to Pronamel and I was using the toothpaste and mouthwash. Around 2016, it was becoming hard to find the original of these ones. So, I started using Forever Aloe Vera Tooth gel and was importing Corsodyl through Amazon. So you see it’s been quite the journey for me. Good thing is that, I just got introduced to another great one from the house of GSK and it is called Biotène.

Let me start by saying that it’s been a month since I have been using it. And so, my review is based on a month-long experience, and not just a couple of days. Biotène has a toothpaste, mouth wash, mouth spray and lozenges. But, I only have the mouth wash and toothpaste. Before I start reviewing, here is a picture.

What I want to tell you is this: if you have had this product in your shopping cart for sometime and you are being skeptical about buying it, stop whatever you’re doing right now and make with the payment because this product is worth every penny. If you experience dryness in your mouth or throat, Biotène is all you need. When I first used the mouth wash, I was impressed by the great taste it has. Glycerin is one of the ingredients in this product, so of course I know where the sweetness comes from. Unlike many other Mouthwashes that I have used in the past (including Corsodyl), Biotène Mouthwash will never burn you and this is a plus, because it means you have plenty of time to relax and gargle with it, without feeling the urgent need to spit it out. Soon as you use it, your mouth feels lubricated and not for a short while, but for all day long.

The toothpaste is also amazing. It feels smooth and creamy in the mouth. If you are dealing with dry mouth because of either stress or antibiotics, just get this Biotène set and you are good to. I mentioned stress because when you are going through so many problems and thinking a lot, your body produces small saliva. So, you need a product that can help you through it. If you snore with your mouth open and it makes your mouth and lips dry when you are sleeping, this is the product for you. If you drink alcohol and you smoke, you are also in need of this.

I know you are asking where you can buy Biotène in Nigeria. To be honest, I don’t think Nigerian pharmaceutical dealers have discovered this product yet. I have never set my eyes on this product in a pharmacy before. So the way I buy is either on Amazon, or when I have a friend coming from The US, I just ask for it. Although, I saw that Forever now has a new packaging and if I am being honest, the new Forever toothpaste that I bought is not as good as the old one. I don’t know what is going on with them, but I have discontinued them because I think they are making low quality toothpaste for the Nigerian market and maintain good quality for the American market. Let even post the picture of the new Forever Toothpaste that disappointed me.

I 100% prefer the old Forever Living toothpaste in terms of taste and performance. But then again, this is Nigeria and I cannot rule out the fact that, I must have gotten the fake one.

This Sensodyne here, I used to love it in the past because of its big size. But since the fake has flooded the Nigerian market, I left it. Corsodyl is still very great, but it has now been diluted. I think they buy it, dilute it and sell it to us, which is not fair. This has made me to stop buying it these days. If I get someone coming America, I can send for it. But in this Nigeria??? not again. My absolute advice to you, would be to get your oral care products from either America or find one pharmacy that you trust and buy only from them if you are sure of their reputation. I also strongly advise you to get a good tongue scrapper like this one in the picture. Because the tongue is 80% of the time responsible for all these problems
